Fixed Odds Betting Terminals ( FOBTs) - Commons Briefing Paper

We keep a close eye on relevant Briefing Papers published by the House of Commons Library, which would be of interest to our sector.

One such briefing paper is in respect of Fixed Odds Betting Terminals (FOBTs).

The terminals have been the subject of much debate, including the recent announcement in May 2018, that the Government was to reduce the maximum state allowed on FOBTs from £100 to £2. This change currently awaits secondary legislation, subject to parliamentary approval.

We will await and report any further development in this area.
